What a private parking space actually earns

Twelve months of real sessions: hours shared, average rates and the payout an owner sees at the end of the month.

Hours shared, not hours available

An owner who opens a space "all day" rarely sells all day. Across twelve months the median shared window was nine hours, and the median sold window was 210 hours a month — about seven hours a day. The gap is not lost money; it is the shape of demand on that street.

What the payout actually looks like

At 1,8 € an hour and 210 sold hours, a space grosses 378 €. After the 20 % service fee the owner sees roughly 302 €. City-centre spaces with a barrier and clear access sit between 180 € and 320 € a month; a courtyard two streets further out sits nearer 120 €.

The three things that move the number

Access clarity beats price. Spaces with a photographed entrance and one clear instruction sell 20–30 % more hours than identical spaces without. Barrier-fitted spaces sell more than gate-code ones. And spaces that stay open past 18.00 capture the evening demand nobody else is serving.
