How the barrier decides who may park
Only a paid, active session lowers a Wisey lock. A walk through the access logic, the failure modes and the battery budget.
One rule, enforced physically
A Wisey lock lowers for exactly two things: an active paid session, or the owner. There is no code to share, no fob to lose and no honour system. When the session ends, the arch folds back up on its own.
What happens when the network drops
The lock keeps the last granted session in local memory, so a driver mid-session is never trapped by a signal problem. New sessions cannot start offline — that is deliberate. Failing closed is the only safe direction for a device that controls a physical space.
The battery budget
Caucasus winters and daily use set the numbers. The arch is the only moving part, mobile radio wakes on a schedule rather than staying connected, and the platform reports battery and signal long before either becomes a driver’s problem.
